A happy patient means a happy smile, and that is our goal at the Oak Bay Denture Clinic

Meet Masato

We would like to introduce Masato, the new owner of Oak Bay Denture Clinic. He and his family have recently moved from Parksville to Victoria, deciding to make this beautiful city their new home.

Masato’s career as a denturist began as early as the third grade, when he stated receiving training in the dental laboratory of his father, who has been working as a dental technician for over 50 years. In the past 20 years, Masato has practiced as a dental technician in both Japan and Canada. With his advanced technical skills and dedication to detail, he provides quality denture services to all his patients. Masato offers personalized dentures focusing on individual appearance and functional prostheses. Last, but not least, Masato is personable and patient. Because of his charisma, many patients feel comfortable discussing their denture issues, questions, and requests with him.

Japanese Technology

For patients with complete dentures, Masato applies the “SEMCD Technique”, known as the Suction Effective Mandibular Complete Denture Technique. Masato was directly trained by Dr. Jiro Abe, the founder of the SEMCD Technique and Japan Plate Denture Association.

Because of the exceptional quality of Masato's work, his dentures were nominated in the BPS Denture Competition held by Ivoclar Vivadent in 2007. The following year, his work was printed on a promotional calendar that was distributed all over the world. In his continuous effort to ensure the best patient experience, he continues to acquire new skills in both clinical and technical aspect during his visit to Japan, always striving to take his skills to the next level.

“Improving patients’ dental and denture knowledge will positively affect patients’ physical, mental and social health which lead this community to be a better place.”
